Delta Dental Scholarship

Delta Dental of Massachusetts, in its desire to support educational excellence and learning opportunities in the area of dental hygiene and dental assisting, establishes The Delta Dental Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will provide support to students in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting.

Consideration will be given to students who meet the following requirements:

• Student is enrolled in the Dental Hygiene or Dental Assisting programs at the Springfield Technical Community College in good academic standing.
• Student should be enrolled full-time at STCC.
• Student should hold a GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Student should have completed 12.0 credits or more.
• Student should display the attributes of a healthcare professional capable of successfully practicing within a group dental practice including teamwork, leadership, and commitment to excellence. These attributes will be described in a letter of recommendation on behalf of the scholarship applicant by a faculty member of Springfield Technical Community College’s Dental Hygiene or Dental Assisting program.
• Student should submit an essay describing why they chose to study in the dental field and their career aspirations.
