Maura Driscoll Family and Friends Scholarship

Maura Driscoll was a Biology Department adjunct faculty member and lab technician for 28 years. During that period she took time to be a volunteer in the Peace Corps. She had a true interest in microbiology and in helping her students succeed. At STCC, Maura spent a great deal of her personal time volunteering to help students; she showed particular commitment to the work study students within the Biology Department. In addition, Maura was a dedicated aunt to ten nieces and nephews and maintained strong ties with her family. She often treated students like family, caring for them and their children during times of adversity. Maura’s dedication to and involvement in the Biology Department will always be missed.
