Alan “Al” Paul Cuipenski Memorial Scholarship

Alan “Al” Paul Cuipenski completed his Civil Engineering Technology education at Springfield Technical Community College in 1985. Since that time, he had been employed by Gagliarducci Construction, Inc., a heavy civil and site construction firm in Springfield, MA. Rising from the ranks of Assistant Foreman, Al quickly established himself as one of Gagliarducci’s senior Superintendents. Al supervised numerous projects, including landfill capping and grading projects in western Massachusetts, most recently supervising the 55-Acre Cottage Street Landfill in Springfield. He also completed numerous site and road projects in the region, including the reconstruction of the Gas Light District in Westfield, MA. As a project superintendent, Alan was directly responsible for project layout and quality control, jobsite planning and scheduling, and communication and coordination with owner’s representatives and engineers. With that in mind, Al Cuipenski’s work family is pleased to fund a scholarship in his memory to a deserving Civil Engineering/Construction student.
